This watering can is made of high quality hot dipped galvanised steel with a VOC-free powder coating. The double layer gives very good protection against corrosion and UV. Even so the product will last significantly longer with good care. We recommend:
1. Do not leave water in the can after use. If fertilisers have been added, rinse with clean water to remove any residue.
2. Remove any dirt with a wet sponge. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasives as this can remove some of the powder coating.
3. Application of car wax will further increase its protection.
4. If residues build up soak it in 30% vinegar for 30+mins and wipe with a wet sponge or brush with a nylon brush.
5. When not in use dry and store in a dry indoor area.
