Divided planter

Standard price is for a setioned planter with medium char on all surfaces which has been brushed and oiled with Tung oil. This product is completely biodegradable and compostable, except for the screws which are reusable and recyclable.

Pricing for standard added features is:

Deep char with alligator scale complexion, which can be left as is or brushed and oiled/stained + $6

NB: Deep char will not take stain.

Stain - certified environmentally friendly and low VOC, but not compostable or necessarily food safe so only used on the exterior +$2

Note that the stain can be used in the interior if the plants are not edible, or if a lining (brown paper, wool etc) is used for edible plants. If you would like this option please comment in the custom box, or contact us.

The Yakisugi technique and oil coating makes this product durable, waterproof and pest resistant. Some simple maintenance will preserve the piece for many years.

A layer of plant-based oil (preferably Tung, Danish or Linseed oil) should be applied each year.

Although designed for outdoors it is best placed in a sheltered position to extend its life.

For disposal (after many years!) the wood is completely biodegradable and compostable. The screws can be reused or recycled.
