This garden tool is made of high quality steel and wood. As with all stainless steel tools some simple care will enhance its lifespan significantly. We recommend:
1. Clean off dirt after each use and dry throughly. A light coat of oil can be applied, especially if it wont be used for a few weeks.
2. Store in a dry space, either standing up or hanging up for good ventilation.
3. Do not leave it outside or rust may develop. At the first signs of rust soak it in vinegar or apply a paste of baking soda mixed with vinegar (or water) and let soak for 30+mins, before scrubbing the paste off.
4. Sharpen as necessary.
