These garden tools are made of high quality steel and wood. As with all stainless steel tools some simple care will enhance their lifespan significantly. We recommend:
1. Clean off dirt after each use and dry them throughly. A light coat of oil can be applied, especially if they wont be used for a few weeks.
2. Store in a dry space, either standing up or hanging up for good ventilation. Each piece comes with a hole at the end of the handle to hang them up by.
3. Do not leave them outside or rust may develop. At the first signs of rust soak them in vinegar or apply a paste of baking soda mixed with vinegar (or water) and let soak for 30+mins, before scrubbing the paste off.
4. Sharpen blades seasonally.
